School Visits are rewarding and valuable experiences that create the opportunity for educators to observe and learn what a Dual Language Bilingual Education (DLBE) program or school looks like in practice. School Visits were previously a pre-conference event, but are now being held in Fall annually for ease of scheduling. 


    There are two different formats for our School Visits:

      General Tours
      Includes a site tour, a Q&A session, and short, informal visits to multiple classrooms. 


      Spotlight Lesson Demonstrations 

      Includes the following:
      • 45-60 minute comprehensive formal classroom visit of a prepared lesson
      • Includes a written lesson plan for observers
      • 20 minute pre- and post-observation conversations
      • Planning and preparation support and coaching from MABE staff at every step
      • Teacher will be invited to present about their experience at March 2027 MABE Conference
      • Potential to video record (pending permissions) for future learning
